The
original MacGyver Virtual Seasons
actually began in 1998, and started where
the show had left off, albeit supposedly five
years later. The "MacVS" ran for
two seasons before vanishing inexplicably
from the net. An archived version can be found
here.
If
anyone out there has any information about
how to get in touch with any of the original
crew, please do drop us a line, we'd love
to archive that season here too, giving full
credit to all original staff, of course!
Our
own virtual season began as a crazy idea spinning
in my head after becoming obssessed with MacGyver
in early 2015. I have experience working
on a virtual season for another show, and
thought making another for MacGyver
would be a fun and amazing thing to do!
After
asking around on the MacGyveronline
and Richard Dean Anderson forums,
it was apparent the fans would still like
to read about their man, and so in October
2015 myself and another forum member, Rocket,
decided to dive in at the deep end.
For
season 2, Sanguine joined the mad house, making
up the current three musketteers!
The
site, and the actual seasons are still a work
in progress, so if you have any ideas, comments,
or would just plain like to join in by becoming
a member of staff (as a writer, artist, beta
reader etc) then feel free to contact us!
How
the VS Works
On
the main page, you'll find "airdates"
for our current episodes that will go out
on-site just like the real show used to on
CBS.
From
our 'premiere' date, you'll find a new episode
of MacGyver here on a monthly basis,
one part per week in fan fiction form. There
is a schedule on the left side of the index
page.
Our
season will take up from where the real show
ended in season seven, and episodes will be
numbered accordingly as if they have carried
on into season eight.
Each
'episode' comes complete with its own fanart,
including banner and poster. If you've missed
an episode, you can find them all archived
in the aired episodes section
here. You can also find a PDF version
for each episode in the archives.
We'll
release upcoming episode descriptions and
posters on the main page, just like the CBS
used to, so why not join us as we take Angus
MacGyver back into adventure, and back into
danger...
